Report on Disaster Relief Activities in the Areas of Fukushima Affected by 2019 (Reiwa 1) Typhoon No.19
Our thoughts are with those who were affected by 2019 Typhoon No. 19. After the extent of the damage from 2019 Typhoon No. 19 became apparent, the Johnny’s Group explored what it could do to assist the affected people and has started activities to support them in some disaster-stricken areas in Fukushima. The following is a report on our visit to one of these areas which was funded by the Johnny’s Smile Up! Project, a social contribution project run by the Johnny’s Group.

[Parking lot in Koriyama-shi, Fukushima]
Our staff cooked bowls of yakishabudon (rice topped with grilled beef) and miso soup and gave drinks to nearly 800 local people.
This support activity was held in Koriyama-shi, Fukushima, a place that was enormously hit by the typhoon. At this event, with the cooperation and efforts of the local government and people we were able to deliver meals to disaster-stricken people. Once again, we would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to everyone involved in this project. Although the contributions that we are able to make are small, the Johnny’s Group will continue its support activities. Your continued support is highly appreciated.
We sincerely hope that the affected areas will recover as quickly as possible.
