Report of a COVID-19 Infection: Sho Takada, Johnny & Associates
We announce that Sho Takada, an actor of Johnny & Associates, was confirmed to have contracted the COVID-19 coronavirus.
Takada started having a fever of 38℃ yesterday. He underwent a PCR test, and tested positive for COVID-19.
He will receive medical attention over a certain period of time and undergo a follow-up examination.
In light of the activities planned, we have decided to report his infection as promptly as possible, giving priority to causing as little inconvenience as possible to everyone. Therefore, we made this announcement before completing the process of identifying close contacts and other procedures with the public health center. We will continue to carefully take the necessary steps to deal with the matter and post updates on our website as necessary.
As for the play, “ROOTERS ~Oensha-tachi~,” (Hiroshima Minami-ku Culture Center) scheduled on July 14, it has been confirmed that several people involved in the play, including Takada, have been infected with COVID-19. As a result, it has been decided to cancel the play.
We wish to extend our sincere apologies to everyone who was looking forward to the performances, and greatly appreciate your understanding.
