Report of a COVID-19 Infection: Kento Senga, Kis-My-Ft2, Johnny & Associates
We announce that Kento Senga, a Kis-My-Ft2 artist of Johnny & Associates, was confirmed to have contracted the COVID-19 coronavirus.
Senga felt no fatigue or fever but had difficulties with his sense of smell since November 8. He underwent a PCR test, and tested positive for COVID-19 on November 10. As instructed by the public health center, Senga will receive a follow-up observation around 10 days after November 8, the date of onset.
Upon learning that Senga contracted COVID-19, all members of Kis-My-Ft2 and their managers underwent a PCR test yesterday and tested negative. They have not had close contact with Senga.
Based on the health center’s instructions, we investigated whether anyone in the company had had close contact with Senga. None of the artists or employees of Johnny & Associates were found to have had close contact with the infected artist. Senga has not entered the Johnny & Associates building or any related facilities since his symptoms occurred. Therefore, the activities of other artists and the business activities of Johnny & Associates will continue as usual, while taking appropriate measures to prevent infection.
However, if anyone who has had close contact with the infected artist is identified, beyond the people involved with Jonny’s Group, we will ensure that they will be informed of the situation and be advised to follow the instructions of the health center.
Johnny & Associates will endeavor to prevent infections and ensure the safety of you, the people who kindly support us, our artists and our employees by continuing the measures that we are currently taking, such as wearing masks, hand-washing and the use of alcohol disinfectants, teleworking, staggering work hours and avoiding closed places.
We sincerely apologize for any concern this may have caused.
Your understanding is appreciated.
